SHIPPING AND INSTALLATION POLICY
This policy explains how Mon-Ami orders are prepared, delivered, collected and installed within South Africa.
Shipping is charged separately unless a quotation expressly states otherwise.
Professional installation is currently available from Mon-Ami in Gauteng for an additional fee.
Shipping and any arranged installation outside Gauteng are separately quoted.
1. Scope
This policy applies to physical products purchased from Mon-Ami through its quotation, invoice or other approved sales process.
It should be read with the Return, Refund and Guarantee Policy and the Terms of Service.
2. Order processing and dispatch
Once cleared payment and all information required to fulfil the order have been received, Mon-Ami aims to process an order within 2 to 7 business days.
This is an estimate and not a guaranteed dispatch date.
Some products may be sourced from a supplier, configured, assembled or manufactured after the order is placed.
If this materially affects the expected dispatch date, Mon-Ami will provide an updated estimate.
Business days exclude weekends and South African public holidays.
An order may be held until required information has been received, including:
Delivery and access details.
Product selections.
Dimensions.
Site information.
Customer approvals.
Installation requirements.
Dispatch and delivery dates remain subject to stock availability, production capacity and courier schedules.
3. Shipping and delivery charges
Shipping is not automatically free.
The applicable delivery charge will be included in a written quotation, invoice or confirmation before dispatch.
Charges may vary according to:
Destination.
Product size and weight.
Packaging requirements.
Handling requirements.
Delivery access.
Specialist carrier requirements.
Mon-Ami currently delivers only to addresses within South Africa unless a separate written arrangement is made.
Mon-Ami may use couriers, suppliers or specialist carriers to complete delivery.
4. Delivery arrangements
The customer must provide:
A complete and accurate delivery address.
A reachable contact person.
Accurate access information.
Any required delivery or security booking details.
Delivery may require a signature, access booking or another form of confirmation.
The customer must tell Mon-Ami before dispatch about:

Restricted vehicle access.
Limited delivery times.
Any other condition that may affect delivery.
Additional carrier, waiting, redelivery, storage or special-handling costs caused by incomplete information or unavailable access may be charged to the customer where lawful and reasonable.
Title and risk pass only as provided by applicable law and the parties’ agreement.
Nothing in this policy reduces a mandatory consumer right.
5. Installation in Gauteng
Mon-Ami currently offers installation in Gauteng for an additional fee.
Installation must be booked and confirmed in writing.
The quotation will describe:
The work included.
The installation location.
Estimated timing.
Additional charges.

6. Shipping and installation outside Gauteng
Shipping to destinations outside Gauteng is available at an additional cost.
If Mon-Ami agrees to arrange installation outside Gauteng, travel, accommodation, freight, local labour and related costs will be quoted separately.
Where Mon-Ami does not provide installation directly, the customer may appoint a competent local handyman or installer.
Unless Mon-Ami appoints that person in writing, the installer acts for the customer and is not Mon-Ami’s employee or agent.
7. DIY and local installation
Installation is intended to be straightforward for a capable DIY customer or local handyman, provided the correct tools, supplied instructions and ordinary safety precautions are used.
Before installation:
Check the wall or mounting surface.
Check the available power supply.
Check the surrounding area.
Confirm the required dimensions and positioning.
Follow all product-specific installation and electrical instructions.
Use a qualified electrician where hard-wiring or electrical work is required by law or good practice.
Damage caused by incorrect or unauthorised third-party installation is not covered by Mon-Ami’s workmanship guarantee.
This does not limit any right relating to a defect that existed when the product was supplied.
8. Delays outside reasonable control
Delivery or installation may be delayed by events outside Mon-Ami’s reasonable control, including:
Courier disruptions.
Severe weather.
Industrial action.
Supplier shutdowns.
Transport failures.
Electricity interruptions.
Civil unrest.
Government action.
Other events outside Mon-Ami’s reasonable control.
Mon-Ami will communicate material delays and take reasonable steps to reduce their effect.
The customer’s rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
9. Inspection on delivery
Please inspect the shipment as soon as reasonably possible.
If the packaging is visibly damaged:
Record the condition with the carrier.
Take clear photographs before unpacking.
Retain relevant packaging.
Contact Mon-Ami promptly.
Report missing, incorrect or damaged items promptly so that Mon-Ami can investigate and assist.
A delay in reporting does not remove any right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
